Mission Statement
The mission of Tree Of Love Montessori & Childcare Centre is to provide an exemplary education through a nurturing and stimulating environment that enhances each child’s intellectual and emotional gifts, leading to responsible, compassionate God-fearing citizens who will make our world a better place.Vision Statement
Our vision is for all children who are unique, to reach their full potential as collaborative and independent learners, by providing the best education that nurtures their spirits, as they become God fearing exemplary citizens of the world.
'Tree Of Love' is a newly started Montessori & Childcare Centre in Ethul Kotte. The Principal Mrs. Nilani Galbada is the former Primary School Headmistress of Bishop’s College Colombo 3, former Principal of Horizon College International Nugegoda and former Head of Kids In Action Preschool & Childcare Centre Kaduwela of Horizon College International. She is highly qualified in the areas of Early Childhood Education and Primary School Education in Sri Lanka and in USA with a Bachelors Degree in Primary Education, and holding certificates for Early Childhood Education, Primary Trained, Montessori Education & Preschool Education. She has over 40 years of experience working with Primary & Preschool Children.
With all her experience and educational qualifications she has decided to start Tree Of Love Montessori & Childcare Centre mainly as a service to the young parents who are working, providing quality, high standard care giving with, fun activities in a homely environment. TOL was started in September 2020 with 3 qualified young teachers, 2 care givers and a maid. There were 4 new admissions in September 2020 and we had a wonderful start. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to close school at the end of September, however we are looking forward to reopening school again as the government permits.
CC TV Cameras are available at TOL for the Principal’s observation in every area where the kids do their activities such as in classrooms, childcare rooms, outdoor play area, sand pit, swimming pool, sleeping rooms and bicycle riding area. We begin our day with each child’s respective prayers and gear them to be ethical as much as possible. Every day we communicate to the parents about the child’s progress.
Our parents have the opportunity to get homemade healthy meals for the kids from TOL according to a set menu. We provide all the necessary school items needed for each child. Our kids have the opportunity to have fun with sand and water in their swimsuits in a sand pit and a pool. We do not tax kids with routine homework.
We ensure that our kids are ready for the formal school upon completion of our Kindergarten, to continue their education in English Medium or Sinhala Medium. Our Childcare facility is available from 6am to 6pm.
